Snapfish is an online store that prints consumer photos and photo products. For the holiday seasons, Snapfish wanted a microsite to showcase their designer cards that would be able to adapted to changing holidays.
I was tasked with laying out a site that would use existing creative elements, for example, patterns, colors, and Christmas illustrations. Being selective, I chose to use a minimal amount of icons and the lightest colors from the palette in order to put all emphasis on the greeting cards. I also chose colors and illustrations that made the user experience feel peaceful and charming.
To showcase the cards and create a boutique presentation, I used a carousel motion. While the carousel turns, snow is falling in the background. The red bird icon in the corner is a subtle touch that projected a speech bubble highlighting promotional offers.
For future iterations of the site, the snowflakes and the bird can be replaced with other design elements and the color pallet can be updated.
